Micromax Working on a High End Smartphone Like the Galaxy S4

Micromax the biggest Indian Smartphone company  was pretty out of news after the launch of their Canvas doodle 2, which was the last top end released this July. Its competitors like Samsung and LG are in limelight for releasing their new models the Galaxy Note 3 and LG G2.

It is rumored that Micromax is going for a top class smartphone next month which will provide a lot of extra features. It is expected to be introduced with a name of Micromax Turbo whose specification are displayed already.

This phone will have a full HD Display with resolution up to 1920 X 1080, similar to all the current top end smartphones and phablets like Samsung Galaxy S4, Galaxy Note 3, Xperia Z1 and LG G2. Currently most of the Micromax smartphones holds a display of 1280 x 720, this new smart phone will be a step to a higher featured mobile.

While Android KitKat is already round the corner, it would still take some time before leading phone-makers can adapt to the upgrade. We guess that Micromax Canvas Turbo would launch with Android Jelly Bean version 4.3. Anything less than that and we shall be seriously disappointed. Also, whether Mircomax will plan KitKat upgrade is a question we are seriously contemplating.

As the report says this Micromax canvas Turbo will have Mediatek MT6589T chipset with a 1.5 GHz quad core processor 357 Mhz GPU. This handset will expected to run Android 4.2 (Jelly bean) out of the box, but it is expected to be upgraded soon after the launch.

Some other rumors are:

13 MP rear camera
5 MP front camera
32 GB internal storage
up to 64 GB expandable microSD card

Needless to say the charm of Samsung Galaxy S4 is the octa-core processor. However, if leaks are anything to go by, Micromax Canvas Turbo will feature not an octa-core but a quad-core Mediatek processor. If true, the phone cannot be called a competitor of Samsung Galaxy S4 in the least! It will be an upgraded version of Micromax Canvas 4.

The one leak we like is that the phone will support 32 GB internal memory and come with an additional expandable memory of 64 GB. However, once again, acting as a damper there comes the news that Micromax Canvas Turbo will feature 2 GB RAM, as opposed the 3 GB mark for the Galaxy Note 3.

The entire scorecard will be revealed once it will enter the market.
